  • Job description
    As Business Development Manager Contract Logistics, you are responsible for the expansion of the Contract Logistics client base within Belgium. You will identify new business opportunities within new and existing clients and generate specific business leads. As Business Development Manager Contract Logistics you will closely work together with the Solution Design- and Implementation department in all phases of the sales process.

    You are also responsible for;
    • Active prospection by phone, networking, social media, etc
    • Pro-active conversion of leads to serious client contacts
    • Require and pro-actively attend to all relevant RFI’s/ RFQ’s of all potential clients
    • Pro-actively communicating and supporting on RFQ’s with the EMEA or local bid team
    • Present, negotiate and defend bids with clients
    • Closing bids and provide clear guidance over Solution Design and Implementation fase, by pro-active client follow-up
    • Create and leading the project team in cooperation with the Business Development Director
    • Control effectiveness, level, quality of service in both implementation and operational phase
    • Take corrective action and discover additional assignments
    • Interim evaluation of service with customer in close collaboration with the contract manager
    • Building the Ceva Contract Logistics brand within Belgium
    Your team
    • You will be working in tandem with the Business Development Director
    • Working closely together with our Business Support team in close contact with Solution Design Managers/Engineers
    • Based in all Contract Logistics sites throughout Belgium
  • Requirements
    You are someone who is commercially driven, likes challenges and is able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You are proactive, and at all times aware of the needs of the market. You are always striving for the most optimal results, you are decisive, self-confident and are passionate about your work. Furthermore, you are a strong communicator and a real team player. Next to that, you bring the following knowledge and experience with you;
    • Bachelor/ Master Degree or equivalent in a related discipline
    • Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ relevant experience in a Commercial/ Project Management role within Contract Logistics or Supply Chain
    • Extensive knowledge of Warehousing solutions/ 3PL
    • Excellence written and oral communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations in meetings
    • Strong written and spoken English, Dutch and French
    • Good knowledge of MS Office
    • Management experience and a professional global vison
