Head of Procurement & Network Optimization

What are you going to do?
In your role as Head of Procurement & Network Optimization you will manage the development and implementation of regional purchasing programs, policies and procedures from a functional or technical perspective and aligning the routing of freight in and out of Europe to those programs. You will hold key relationships with airlines from a European level and represent Europe in global negotiations.

As Head of Procurement & Network Optimisation you are responsible for:
  • Analyse cargo flows to/from the Europe region, establish routing guide and control or update on a monthly basis
  • Align routing and carrier utilization with the other geographies (regions)
  • Analyse/benchmark carrier rates per destination from the individual countries and identify negation potential/use for network optimization
  • Close coordination with the respective gateways within their region in regards to their gateway procurement
  • Support gateway procurement such as initiating / managing regional negotiations with carrier
  • Support gateway in BSA negotiations (for global approval)
  • Support mainly regional pricing air team,  BD, local pricing with strategic pricing for high cargo volume RFQ s
  • Manage strategic measures/policies to ascertain where costs/rates can be reduced or eliminated
  • Manage & collaborate with teams to prepare and manage Capacity Plans: short term (Emergency)and long term capacity plans

    In this job as Head of Procurement & Network Optimization you will be based at Schiphol. You are part of the Europe Air team. Colleagues are based in Schiphol, Frankfurt and London. You report direct to the Regional Head of Air Product.
