IT Program Director & Country IT

The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the delivery of the European system implementation projects in the areas of Contract Logistics, Ground, Air and Ocean and to set the processes and methodology in the region to achieve it in line with CEVA corporate practices and systems. This will be achieved through the management of a team of project portfolio directors (typically 3 or more) and a pool of European resources available for the execution of the projects. The resources in the pool typically reports to the Project Protfolio Director and some (around 10) will be supervised directly by the IT Program Director.

A secondary purpose of the role is to act as the IT Country POC (point of contact) for the Benelux cluster which entails being the go to person for key IT topics in the geography, be part of the management board of the geography and acting as a conduit for communication to and from the geography. The split between those two purposes is around 70-80/30%-20% (IT POC role is new and as such we are not totally sure of the effort required just yet). This role should have subject matter expertise in the areas of Business Process, Project and Portfolio Management, exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. This role will operate at senior levels within CEVA and the C-Suite levels with customers/vendors.

    Key Accountabilities

    This leader will:
    - Will direct the overall coordination of large-scale programs, resulting business transformation affecting critical client operations and ensure that program goals and objectives are met within time, budget and scope. Typical project budget will be up to $2.5m and up to 20 projects can be active at the same time;
    - Coordinate work performed by IT staff and internal/external customers/business partners/vendors by directing program requirements and financial feasibility. Definition and utilization of standard PM methodologies across the project portfolio. Ensures project teams comply to company standards and all documentation is reviewed and approved;
    - Manage a set of senior project portfolio directors and a pool of project managers and business analysts as well as the PMO function Interacts closely with the global IT project delivery team (possibly sharing the PMO function) and the various regional IT COEs that are required for the completion of the projects;
    - Represent the IT function on the board of the business in the geography assigned to the role. Handle critical escalations in the geography.
    - Act as the communication conduit to and for the IT community in the geography. Ensure the IT community of the country is looked after;
    - Be highly skilled in Project Management, has ability to manage highly complex and diversified programs and to prioritize competing interests across functions.
  • Requirements
    Education & Qualifications:
    - Fluent in English
    - Very desirable to speak Dutch
    - University Degree in IT or Business, or equivalent experience

    - 12-15+ years of relevant technical or business work experience
    - 12-15+ years of implementation and delivery services, preferable for large complex programs
    - Cross-function management experience including people and process management for business transformational programs
    - Managing multi-million-dollar program initiatives on time and on budget

    Specialist Knowledge & Skills:
    - Consistent utilization of best practices and methodologies to ensure demand management and planning, projects portfolio management and support for customers are met.
    - Ability understand inter-dependencies between IT and business initiatives to effectively leverage resources.
    - PMI Certified
    - SWOT analysis and problem solving competences.
    - Proven experience implementing IT solutions and communicating with C-Suite management of high profile customers.
    - Expert understanding of business functional and operating needs in highly complex environments.
    - Excellent IT finance, customer budget and proposal management Ability to review and change processes to achieve best practice standards.
