  • Job description
    The Tender & Transport Procurement Analyst will be responsible for the management of all procurement activities and the management of transport service suppliers working closely with the General Manager, Operations Manager, Finance Manager. He/ She will take full operational responsibility for the management of the transport procurement function run by the Antwerp office to ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to the internal and external customers and as part of the management team, exceed operational and financial performance targets.
    The role will oversee directly the responsibility of the Transport Procurement and (indirectly) Transport Service Management through effective sourcing, procurement, implementation and monitoring of carriers, ensuring effective management controls are in place and applied throughout the entire customer and carrier contract process.
    General responsibilities :
    • Establish win-win relationships with a wide range of European carriers that will be the base of a continuous cooperation. Develop carrier database and associated rating database.
    • Develop and agree cooperation standards with carriers related to service and customer requirements as well as financial settlement and manage adherence to process & procedures & required operational standards
    • Manage and introduce carriers on a European level to deliver benefit for CEVA Ground customers in terms of financial benefits as well as service delivery. Manage the cost and service levels to exceed business unit and customer targets
    • Lead Carrier Management team in delivering required services to internal and external customers
    • Play an active role in supporting the business development team in the commercial development of both new and existing customers:
  • Requirements
    • University level or equivalent by experience
    • Excellent knowledge of the English language (both written and verbal)
    • Procurement experience of at least 2 years in a transport procurement support role within a multi-national enterprise
    • Good knowledge on European and local sourcing; deep carrier knowledge
    • Demonstrate sound commercial awareness and ability to successfully navigate market trends
    • Good project management – diplomacy – people – leadership skills
    • Able to work to deadlines under pressure
    • High standard of communication and presentation skills
    • High ability to absorb pressure and continually deliver against target
