Ceva Ground Europe is a newly established business unit within the Northern European organization and rapidly expanding.
CGE operates 4PL Services across Europe and is responsible for managing all cross-border transportation flows for CEVA in Europe (all countries) within an asset-light model (i.e. commissioning of transport capacity as and when required, limited direct resources but more virtual team)

 

  • Job description
    As Transport Operations Lead, you are responsible for the day to day operation of the transport planning and execution for any specific customer or group of customers  and such ensuring the highest quality of customer service and carrier management is achieved at all times.

    It is highly important to develop a  good working operational relationships with key partners – customers (both internal and external), carrier partners and other service providers to establish a solid base for enhancing partnerships.
     
    Your key responsibilies are :

    • Ensure efficient administrative handling and completion of orders by using IT systems and tools provided by CEVA.
    • Collaborate closely with customers and carrier partners to ensure correct and timely processing of orders received.
    • Monitor transport order acceptance, carrier status updates and pro-actively tackle anomalies against customer requirements.
    • Monitor and report carrier compliance against agreed service levels.
    • Monitor and report customer compliance against agreed service levels.
    • Collect data to enable timely reporting of periodic KPI’s, both internally and externally.
    • Report KPI’s, both internal and external, in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Keep the Transport Operations Supervisor informed of anomalies and any situations requiring his/her attention to mitigate additional cost and concerns.
    • Assist with and participate in operational customer & carrier reviews on a regular basis.
    • Maximize the use of standard working practice across activities performed.
    • Work closely with CEVA colleagues both in the CEVA Ground Europe operations team and across departments to contribute to improving internal performance and efficiency.
    • Travel may be required from time to time.
    • Telephone assistance after office hours will be required on a regular basis.
  • Requirements
    • Bachelor degree in logistics or equivalent through experience
    • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language, a good knowledge of German is a plus!
    • Experience in road transport planning and execution at a European level
    • Experience in a customer service environment
    • Adequate PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages
